Brand Guidelines
Our Brand
This page is a dedicated brand guide, designed to be a tool: a set of standards for creating and maintaining consistency across all facets of the Barnes Aerospace brand. By providing specifications – logo use, color, typography, messaging, and templates – this guide provides a foundation for ensuring brand integrity in every application, small or large.
Logo
The Barnes Aerospace logo features a contemporary sans-serif name style in dark violet, legal entity line in dark violet and a gradated symbol comprised of violet/orange-red/orange. Followed by the AEROSPACE name in our violet color.
Our symbol is a visual metaphor of cross-pollination within our business and the ecosystem we are building, which we believe gives us and our clients an advantage. We call our symbol the Continuum.
Please Note:
Continuum cannot be used alone for the AEROSPACE brand.
Use only the approved digital art files, do not attempt to redraw/recreate any of the logo’s elements.
Pro tip! PNG files are for digital use, EPS and JPG Files are for print use
Colors
All colors in our color palette have precise print color references, as shown in the color specifications chart. Slight variances in color may occur when the colors are printed through different processes or reproduced in different media.
In lieu of the color(s) listed on this page, you may use the Pantone® Colors cited, the standards for which can be found in the current edition of the Pantone formula guide.
Please Note:
The colors shown throughout these guidelines have not been evaluated by Pantone, Inc. for accuracy and may not match the Pantone Color Standards.
Consult current Pantone publications for accurate color. Pantone LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Inc.
Pro tip! PANTONE® and CMYK is for print., RGB is for digital, and HEX refers to web.

Typography
The font pairing of Barnes is a visual manifestation of the brand’s ability to balance established knowledge, reputation, and precision, with our ability to innovate and evolve.
Hero Text
Hero copy is used as a visual accent to communicate small bites of high level information.
The modern sans-serif typeface Lato Light paired with a very strong visual hierarchy communicates the bold precision that defines Barnes’ work.
Don’t bold any hero text.
Don’t write hero text in ALL CAPS.
Headlines
The brand headline typeface is Libre Baskerville, a powerful and established serif with expertly finessed letterforms.
Anchoring headlines with familiarity allows all discussions at Barnes to begin from a place of proven knowledge.
Headlines can be centered or left aligned.
Headlines should be at least 2.5x the size of any accompanying body copy.
Don’t bold any headlines.
Don’t write headlines in ALL CAPS.
To retain the precise geometries, Libre Baskerville should be exchanged with Baskerville for print applications.
Body Copy
Body copy is any text that is organized in paragraphs and meant for extended reading.
We use Lato again for the body copy, however, in this application, we use regular and bold weights.
Paragraphs are left aligned.
Always keep the right edge ragged.
Separate paragraphs with a hard return.
Ideal width of paragraphs for extended reading is between 50 and 75 characters. This paragraph is 50 characters wide.
